Guna-based Brajesh Dubey, KBC 2's ''first crorepati'' who successfully tried his luck for the game show hosted by Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan only to meet him, believes in using money judiciously.

''Money is important in one's life. But, I don't believe in using it for unneccessary luxury. I will explore the best options for investing my prize money,'' says Dubey, an electrical engineer working as a claim surveyor with General Insurance in Guna, a Madhya Pradesh town.

Talking to UNI, Dubey (33) said a chance of meeting his idol Amitabh Bachchan, the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), motivated him to try his luck for participating in the show. ''My wife realised that I was a big fan of the superstar and told me that the only way of meeting him was by participating in the game show. She and my cousin helped me to prepare for the show for the last two months,'' he said.

''I started watching the show analytically and studied the type of questions asked. Almost all the questions were knowledge-based and not found in any of the books. I started preparing the basics of all the subjects on which most of the questions were based. My wife prepared about 250 questions for me to prepare for the 'fastest finger first' contest and worked on improving the timings of answering the questions,'' he said.

Dubey said KBC is more a game to test mental fitness rather than winning the prize amount. ''The contestant should not be under pressure for winning the prize amount during any moment of the game.

An electrical engineer from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MZNIT) from Bhopal, Dubey is the youngest in his family of three brothers. ''I am happy that I did my family and home town proud with my achievement. Guna is buzzing with excitement since the day I won the prize. Even though my only aim was to meet Amitabh Bachchan, I did not get time to talk to him because the recording begins as soon as he arrives on the sets. I will want to meet him again for a longer time. But during the course of the game, he was very encouraging,'' he said.

Dubey said he had not tried to participate in the first version of KBC because he could never get through the phone lines. ''This time access through phone lines was easier. I got through the landline after trying for 25 days,'' he added.
